To create your collection:

  1. Install Adobe Air, it'll take less than one minute
  2. Download and install Dungeon Painter Packmaker, it runs after installation
  3. Create main folder for your collection, for example
    c:\collections\myCollection\
  4. Create type folders inside
    c:\collections\myCollection\floors\
    c:\collections\myCollection\walls\
    c:\collections\myCollection\decor\
  5. And than subfolders inside
    c:\collections\myCollection\floors\Floors1\
    c:\collections\myCollection\floors\Floors2\
    c:\collections\myCollection\decor\Weapon1\
    c:\collections\myCollection\decor\Weapon2\
    c:\collections\myCollection\decor\Furniture\
  6. You may download example collection with right hierarchy here
  7. In the packmaker specify path to main folder you want to convert to collection
  8. Define subdirectories types (floor, wall, plant etc) using combobox
  9. Your source images may have custom size of cell, specify it at top input field in the packmaker (default 200 pix per square).
  10. Specify output directory to save collection file, and press 'Generate' button
  11. Now you can use it in Dungeon Painter, just press 'Add your collection' button in left top corner. It will be added to collections list, and you will be able to use it as native.

Unfortunately, adobe security policy doesn't allow flash apps to load file from your local drive automatically, so you should specify collections locations each time you execute editor. If you try load map which use local collections while they are unloaded, painter asks about location of each of them.

If you want to share your collection, please post it to me, and I'll add it for public usage.
